February 7th - Arm Chair Adventures: Mountaineering at Mt. Rainier with Steve Barfels at Crawdaddy Outdoors. Steve will show photos and video of his trip and discuss the preparation and gear to do a big time adventure to Mt. Rainier. Time is 6:00 to 8:00pm and cost is $5.
February 8th - Safety and Rescue Clinic: Wartburg College at The W. Learn the basics of paddle strokes, safety, wet exits, boat control and how to renter your boat. Pre-registration is required. Time is 7:30 to 10:00pm. Cost is $30 per class/per person or $20 for W members or those who purchased a kayak from us in 2011.
February 17th thru 20th - Up North Ski and Snowshoe Adventure in Minnesota. Join Crawdaddy Outdoors for this cross-country ski on the picturesque trails overlooking Lake Superior. Go for a night snowshoe hike up a mountain or enjoy a daytime snowshoe to Carlton Peak or Oberg Mountain. Accommodations on the shore of Lake Superior in beautiful cabins. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $450 and includes meals, lodging and travel.

Izaak Walton League will continue to offer NRA certified courses about the safe use of a handgun on Saturday, May 7th starting at 7:30am until 4:00pm. The class meets the requirements to obtain a first time permit to carry a gun and has been approved by the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
