Transportation Network

Bremer County, located in northeast Iowa, is strategically located to provide your business with abundant interstate, regional and local highway access.  Waverly is an Avenue of the Saints Community (Hwy 218/27), connecting St. Paul with St. Louis.  Our 4-lane highway system will take you to I-380 (20 miles), then to I-80 connecting New York with San Francisco.  Bremer County also offers rail service as well as convenient access to local, regional and international air service.

The Avenue of the Saints (US 218/27)
The Avenue of the Saints, a 4-lane north-south transportation corridor, runs through Bremer County and has direct access from Waverly.  This highway connects St. Paul, MN with St. Louis, MO, and provides a 4-lane connection to Interstates I-35 and I-80.

 US Highway 20
US Highway 20, a 4-lane east-west federal highway, is in close proximity and easily accessible from Bremer County.  This highway provides a direct route to Chicago to the east, and connects with Interstate I-35 to the west.

 Rail Service
Rail service to Waverly is provided by Canadian National Railroad (CN) and Butler County is served by both CN and Iowa Northern Railway (IANR).

 Air Service
The Waverly Municipal Airport offers services for private aircraft with a 2,800 foot runway, navigational aid, charter service, courtesy transportation, fuel sales and hangar availability. 

The Waterloo Regional Airport (20 miles) partners with northwest Airlines to offer commercial air service with daily flights to Minneapolis, MN, as well as corporate and general aviation services, car rentals, and a recently renovated passenger terminal. 

The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids (85 miles) partners with several air carriers to provide domestic and international flights, direct flights, general aviation and air cargo services, as well as car rentals and various other amenities.
