Becoming a Member

1. What's in it for me?

By joining the Waverly Area Development Group, you get all the benefits of a strong community. There are many tangible, as well as intangible, benefits from becoming a member. Some intangible benefits include: safe, supportive community, healthy lifestyles, scenic, quality schools, spiritual enrichment and much more! By  each of the businesses playing a role and committing time and financial support, we can all do our part to create a strong, vibrant community. We would love for you to join in this effort!

2. If I join, will it bring me more business?

With greater participation of businesses, we can strengthen to have an even more viable organization. The Waverly Area Development Group Office is constantly receiving calls asking where services are offered. We refer to our membership base to answer these questions, therefore sending potential customers your way!

3. Do I have to do volunteer work if I join?

You are not expected to volunteer, however, you can get so much more out of your membership if you volunteer. Our group is enhanced greatly by both financial and volunteer support!

4. What are membership dues?

You may select the amount of contribution you make for your business membership. As your contribution increases, your benefits increase. See "Different levels of Membership" for detailed information.

5. How will people know I am a member of the Waverly Area Development Group?

We promote our members every chance we get through referrals, listing in our directory, listing on our Web site (www.waverlyia.com) and listing in our annual report that is distributed throughout the area. Stickers are also placed in the windows of each member business.

6. Will I get a chance to network  with other business leaders?

There are several opportunities for you to meet with other local business people. Whether it is through volunteering or attending social functions such as Business After Hours or the Annual Meeting and Dinner, you will receive several chances to visit and interact with other business leaders.
