Financial IncentivesMost of Bremer County communities have lucrative incentives (+) available for the construction of new manufacturing facilities. For most projects, we offer: - Grants as part of the incentives
- Low-interest /forgivable loans as part of the state incentives.
- County Revolving Loan Funds (2).
- Low-interest loan from the Waverly Area Development Group revolving fund.
We need complete company financial information to ascertain the types / amounts of assistance to be assembled for you from these programs. Note: Existing facility vs. new construction: financing of new construction increases the incentive options whereas financing of an existing building does eliminate some of the incentive options. - The Iowa New Jobs Training Program will save you start-up costs. Iowa's program can reimburse employers up to 50 percent of their trainees' wages/benefits during the training period.
- New Jobs Tax Credit (credited to Iowa Corporate Income Tax @ $942 per job created).
- Tax credits are available to businesses conducting research and development.
- A single factor non-unitary corporate income tax, which means that state income taxes are only computed on sales within the state of Iowa. There is no income tax on profit from out-of-state sales, and federal income taxes are 50 percent deductible on Iowa State tax forms.
